We are Kooksville The Game and we are a veteran owned business building active lifestyle games, Kooksville being our first game. This game idea was born from a group of friends that surf together. After learning to surf at Beacons beach mid 2020 all the events in the game cards originated from that friend group and surf sessions from then until now (one or two may have come from the news).

The game is designed off Beacons beach, which is in North San Diego. Beacons beach has a dirt path you walk down and end up on the northern side of the beach. Typically we would paddle straight out and catch waves that took us south along the general current. This is why the start is on the right hand side and you navigate south along the beach.

You may wonder, why if someone gets to the finish would they be able to be dragged back into the game. The simple answer is because those are the rules…but in reality if you’re out surfing with your friends you wait until the last person comes in before leaving the beach. Or sometimes the waves are just too good to go in and you want to get out there and catch one more set!
